ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Composite Boatbuilder at The Whiskey Project Group, you will be part of a skilled production team responsible for constructing advanced watercraft to demanding standards of strength, finish and performance.

Working from drawings, specifications and production instructions, you will contribute across a range of composite construction and assembly activities. Depending on your experience, this may include mould preparation, laminating, bonding, structural assembly, trimming, fitting and finishing. You will collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers and fellow tradespeople to ensure each vessel is completed accurately, safely and efficiently.

This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys seeing a complex build take shape. Your contribution will directly support the quality, reliability and performance of watercraft intended for challenging real-world environments.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You will bring practical manufacturing or boatbuilding experience, strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. You understand the importance of following established processes while remaining adaptable when working through production challenges.

Ideally, you will offer:

• Experience in composite boatbuilding, marine manufacturing or a related trade environment
• Familiarity with composite materials, laminating, bonding, trimming, assembly or finishing processes
• The ability to interpret drawings, measurements and production instructions
• Confidence using relevant hand and power tools safely and accurately
• Strong practical problem-solving skills
• Consistent attention to workmanship, detail and quality control
• A thorough approach to workplace health and safety
• The ability to work reliably both independently and as part of a production team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new methods and processes

Formal trade qualifications are welcome, although relevant practical experience, craftsmanship and a strong work ethic will also be highly regarded.
