ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Marine Engineer at The Whiskey Project Group, you will contribute to the development of high-performance watercraft designed for demanding defence, commercial and recreational applications. Working alongside naval architects, designers, engineers and production specialists, you will help transform operational requirements into practical, reliable engineering solutions.

The role will involve supporting projects across different stages of development, from early concepts and technical evaluation through to detailed design, production and testing. You may contribute to system integration, technical documentation, design reviews, problem-solving and the continuous improvement of existing vessels and systems.

This is an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a collaborative, hands-on environment where performance, safety and real-world functionality guide every decision. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to help ensure each solution is practical to manufacture, maintain and operate.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You will bring a sound understanding of marine or mechanical engineering principles, together with a practical approach to solving technical challenges. You are comfortable working collaboratively, communicating technical information clearly and taking ownership of your contribution to a project.

Ideally, you will offer:

• A relevant qualification in marine, mechanical or a related engineering discipline
• Experience in marine engineering, vessel design, manufacturing or a comparable technical environment
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
• The ability to interpret and contribute to technical drawings, specifications and documentation
• An understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes and system integration
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute throughout the project lifecycle

Experience with high-performance, commercial, defence or specialist watercraft would be valuable, but a strong technical foundation and genuine interest in the marine sector are equally important.
